Shopping … Do It Right
Have you ever seen a friend in a cute outfit and ask the price and learn that it was on sale? Is there a piece of furniture that you have that is similar to that of someone you know, same quality, same style, only to find out that they paid a lot less than you did? Of course, a number of us have had this experience at one point in time and it sometimes makes you want to scream! The truth is that some persons are better at finding bargains than others and some of us really can’t be bothered to walk about hunting bargains when we could simply purchase it where it is and be done with it. This is slowly changing today.
Supermarket & Wholesales
When it comes to shopping for groceries most persons usually opt for the supermarket over a wholesale although they are buying goods in bulk. It has been proven that some wholesales offer much more competitive price on goods that are bought in bulk and if you have a huge family or plan to shop only once per month then a wholesale could work for you. Both shopping arenas offer quality goods and services. Supermarkets offer the luxury of a spacious shopping space as well as items that may not be found in wholesales (ground provisions). Also you can get discounts on some items that are purchased in bulk. The reality of these two entities is that you will need to compare prices and find one that works for you.
Complimentary & Free
Pride often gets in the way of asking for complimentary items such as tickets or coupons. For those of us who simply cannot afford it then asking becomes a lot easier. Many events today usually offer complimentary passes whether you know the organizers or not. One way of ensuring that you have a chance is to volunteer your services for free. Although you may not always get a complimentary pass you will be considered. This can also assist you expanding your network of contacts.
Special Movies / Parties / Concerts
There are many “give-always” daily on the radio, television and in the print media that some of us overlook. Some of these complimentary passes can save you a lot of money if you make the time to participate. In addition to this cinema offers a good opportunity to see your favourite movie(s) at a reduced cost on a designated day (two-for-one). All you need to do is to find a movie mate and the time to purchase your tickets early as this offer attracts many persons and tickets go really fast.
Health Specials
Of course most persons are perhaps thinking that they are no specials in this field but there are. Optometrist offer specials on services and products but you need to ask in order to know, as the information will not necessarily be advertised. There are health practitioners who also provide various tests (blood sugar, blood pressure, cholesterol, pregnancy) for free or at reduced prices. Sometimes these tests can be done in the supermarket (except the pregnancy test of course)
Today there are many specials available that can help us to save more but we need to find them. Sitting in an office or at home may not be the most effective way to get the information. Read more, listen to what others have to say, shop around, ask friends/relatives for complimentary items, volunteer and expand your network of friends and contact. Above all … budget and spend wisely!
